Early assessment of nervous system disorders in children is crucial for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning. At Yeditepe University Hospitals Pediatric Neurology Department, the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up processes of neurological diseases seen in children aged 0-18 years are carried out by specialist physicians.
The Pediatric Neurology Department is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and muscle diseases occurring in infants, children, and adolescents. Within this department, the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up processes of patients are carried out by specialist physicians.
When children need evaluation for neurological diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles, they should consult the Pediatric Neurology Department. Following a clinical evaluation by specialist physicians, diagnosis is made and appropriate treatment is planned using tests such as MRI and EEG when deemed necessary.
Simple fainting spells, seizures, developmental delay, SMA, epilepsy, cerebral Palsy , Down syndrome, genetically inherited neurological diseases, and congenital diseases affecting the nervous system are among the main health problems evaluated in the Pediatric Neurology Department.
