Our world-famous neurosurgeon Prof. Dr. Uğur Türe achieved both a great success and a record with his own surgical technique which he developed, by appearing for the fourth time on the January 2024 cover of the most pretigious and scientific named  "Journal of Neurosurgery" Honorary President of the "World Federation of Neurosurgery Societies" Prof. Dr. Uğur Türe; He once again became the cover story of the "Journal of Neurosurgery", the most respected journal in his field, with the different surgical techniques he developed to successfully remove lesions in different parts of the brain.

Dr. Türe appeared on the cover of the same magazine for the first time in November 2004 with his teacher, Professor Yaşargil. Türe managed to become the cover story with the new surgery techniques he developed in May 2016 and then in August 2021. Finally, for the fourth time, he signed with the subject of brain and neuroscience  on the cover article of January 2024 issue.
 

Technique That Does Not Damage The Brain

Dr. Türe presents a very important innovation with the new surgical technique he developed himself, which is the January 2024 cover story of the science magazine. Dr. Türe said that "Previously, during surgeries performed between the brain and cerebellum, the veins in that area were burned, and this could have a negative impact on the patient's recovery process," he said and continued his words as follows that he said that found a way to avoiding to damage  the brain by protecting the vessels in the operated area instead of burning them as usual. In this way, the vessels are protected from damage and complications that may develop after the surgery are minimized.

Prof. Dr. Ture; He perfected his new technique by using it first in his laboratory and then in his surgeries. In this way, he not only reduced the brain damage of his patients but also increased their recovery rate after surgery, creating a great impact all over the world.

Dr. Türe Established A Brain Laboratory

Dr. Türe has made a great contribution to the training of many neurosurgeons through the training he constantly gives in our country and around the world and the international conferences he organizes. Dr.Türe continues to support the education and development of researchers from our country and all over the world in the brain laboratory which he established within Yeditepe University.
