Anesthesiology and Reanimation is the medical specialty that aims to prevent patients from experiencing pain, ensure their comfort, and maintain the safe functioning of vital signs during surgery and various medical procedures. In this way, surgical and other interventional procedures are carried out safely, and the recovery process is also facilitated.

What Are Intensive Care Services?

Within the hospital, intensive care services are provided in the following units:

• Intensive Care Unit (General ICU)
• Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

These units are staffed by a team of specialist physicians and nurses and are equipped with advanced medical and technical equipment. Key equipment includes: mechanical ventilators, cardiac, circulatory, and respiratory monitors, infusion pumps, cardiac nutrition pumps, automatic repositioning bed systems to prevent pressure sores in long-term patients, fire-resistant and antimicrobial materials, individual patient heating and cooling devices, and bedside laboratory measurement devices for real-time, close monitoring of patient metabolism.
In the Intensive Care Units, patients with compromised immune systems—such as those with sepsis or undergoing chemotherapy—are treated in isolation rooms that allow for controlled adjustments in pressure, temperature, and humidity. The patient beds in these rooms can automatically adjust the patient's position and also provide percussion massage at regular intervals.
For patients requiring close monitoring of fluid balance and weight changes, a digital electronic weighing system is available at the foot of the bed, allowing for continuous weight measurement. Patients can be mobilized when needed, either in a flat or sitting position, using a manually controlled patient lift.

What is Pain Treatment

The pain clinic, in collaboration with other medical disciplines such as Neurology, Psychiatry, Oncology, Orthopedics and Traumatology, and Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, provides treatment for both pain associated with various diseases and post-operative pain.
