The Importance of Providing Quality Health Care Has Been Further Understood During the Epidemic Period

Stating that hospital accreditations provide significant gains in the quality of patient care, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Keleştemur said, "The necessity of providing health services without compromising on quality standards has been further understood, especially in the epidemic period we are in."

Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Keleştemur, who reminded that Yeditepe University Hospitals are the "First Turkish University Hospitals Group" to receive Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation certificate, announced that they were once again awarded JCI Accreditation.

All areas and processes of our institutions were meticulously examined. 1270 criteria were revised. In the end, we were entitled to receive JCI accreditation for the fifth time, we are proud."

It reviews the patient safety targets periodically and creates new targets against the risks that may develop in order to ensure patient safety. With its academic medical center standards, it makes it easier for the education program to achieve its goals. The current and possible training needs of patients and their relatives regarding their health problems are determined, and training is given and followed up. It brings regulations on the control of infections, one of the most important issues in the field of health. By increasing the sensitivity about patient safety, patient privacy is protected at the highest level.
