Prof. Can Yücel Karabay, M.D.

Career Summary: 

Prof. Dr. Can Yücel Karabay  graduated from İnönü University Faculty of Medicine and completed his  cardiology residency training at Koşuyolu Heart Training and Research Hospital. He  received the title of Associate Professor in 2014  and Professor in 2019. He has received international training in structural heart diseases and interventional cardiology. In 2011, he received his Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) certificate after successive trainings in Belgium and the Netherlands; in 2015, he was certified in left atrial appendix (LAA) closure at Bordeaux University Hospital. In the same year, he founded kardiyopedi.com, a digital training platform for physicians. In 2024, he  received the European Society of Cardiology Interventional Cardiology Association (EAPCI) Board Certification and  currently  serves on the EAPCI Board Committee. He holds the title of "Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC)" awarded by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). He  works as an Associate Editor at the Anatolian Journal of Cardiology. He works as a proctor (trainer-supervisor) at national and international level in TAVI and LAA closure procedures; He contributed to the active service of more than 50 centers in the field of TAVI and more than 20 centers in the field of LAA closure.From 2015 to 2026, he worked at Dr. Siyami Ersek Training and Research Hospital.
Since 2026,  he has been serving his patients at Yeditepe University Kozyatağı Hospital.
