What is the Surgical Microscope?

The Surgical Microscope is an advanced imaging system used especially in brain and neurological surgery (neurosurgery), as well as spinal surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), and microsurgical operations. Thanks to its high magnification capacity and superior optical image quality, it allows surgeons to see anatomical structures requiring millimetric precision in detail. Thus, surgeries requiring high precision, such as tumor surgery, cerebrovascular diseases, spinal cord operations, and skull base surgery, can be performed more safely.

What Do We Offer with the Surgical Microscope?

The advanced technology Surgical Microscope system used at Yeditepe University Hospitals provides clear visualization of the finest details of the surgical field with its high-resolution optical structure and powerful lighting technology. Particularly in brain surgery, it contributes to the preservation of healthy tissues while increasing surgical precision and supporting successful surgical outcomes. This technology, used by our experienced neurosurgery team in our modern operating rooms, makes a significant contribution to providing our patients with safe, effective, and advanced surgical services at international standards.
