Accessible Communication in Healthcare: Sign Language Training

Project Objective:

The aim is to contribute to making communication in healthcare services accessible for everyone, to support more effective communication with hearing-impaired individuals, and to increase sign language awareness among healthcare professionals.

Project Subject:

Within the scope of the project, sign language training was provided to healthcare professionals. During the training process, participants gained knowledge and skills in sign language, thereby contributing to the promotion of accessibility in healthcare communication.

The project was carried out as part of a 6-week training program and has been successfully completed.

The project contributed to improving healthcare professionals' knowledge and skills in sign language and strengthening accessible and inclusive healthcare communication.

Project Outcomes / Achievements:

At the end of the project, 30 healthcare professionals successfully completed the sign language training program. Through the training, awareness of accessibility in healthcare communication was raised, and contributions were made to strengthening communication with hearing-impaired individuals, as well as supporting empathy, trust, and a culture of inclusive communication.
