Associate Professor Birgül Karaaslan, M.D.

Career Summary:

I graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 2000. Between 2001 and 2006, I worked as a general practitioner at various healthcare institutions. I completed my specialist training in the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Pendik Training and Research Hospital, between 2006 and 2012. Between 2012 and 2015, I worked as a pediatric surgeon at Şanlıurfa Children’s Hospital, Istanbul Esenler Maternity and Children’s Hospital, and Private Nisa Hospital. I worked at Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital from 2015 to 2020 and at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital from 2020. I have held the title of Associate Professor since 2024. In September 2026, I joined Yeditepe University Specialized Hospital, where I currently work as an Associate Professor. I conduct clinical research, publish scientific studies, and undertake teaching and academic activities in various fields of pediatric surgery and pediatric urology.
