Career Summary

  • Assoc. Tuğba İlkem Kurtoğlu Özçağlayan was born in 1982. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. He graduated from Pertevniyal High School in 2000 and earned the right to study medicine at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in the same year. Between 2007 and 2012, he received his education in the Department of Radiodiagnostics at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital. He worked at Tokat State Hospital between 2012-2013 to fulfill compulsory state service and at Tekirdağ State Hospital between 2013-2014. Between 2014-2021, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Faculty of Medicine. In 2016, he successfully completed the exam conducted by the Turkish Radiology Association Qualification Board and was entitled to receive the Turkish Radiology Association Qualification Certificate. In 2018, he successfully completed the standard applied Neuroradiology training, which is the basic training program of European Radiology, European Neuroradiology, Turkish Neuroradiology Societies and Qualification Boards, and was awarded the Turkish Neuroradiology Diploma, which is a certificate of excellence. He passed the European Board of Radiology exam (EBIR) in 2018 and was awarded the European Diploma in Radiology (EDIR). Breast Radiology is of special interest. He is a member of European Radiology Society, Turkish Radiology Society, Turkish Radiology Society Breast Sub-Study Group, Turkish Neuroradiology Society, Turkish Ultrasonography Society, Tekirdag Breast Diseases Society. He has more than 50 articles published in national and international journals and a conference speech presented at scientific meetings. There are two book authoring departments. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2023.
