Yeditepe University Hospitals Nutrition and Diet Department experts support the quality of life of their clients by teaching them how to diet in accordance with their own lifestyle, what the factors related to nutrition in the formation of diseases, the changes they need to make in their diet at the time of disease, and the rules to be followed in the preparation and cooking of foods and the scientific ways to make correct practices.

Medical nutrition programs are organized in a wide area by the department specialists, training is given, and their clients are followed up. In addition, home follow-up services are provided to elderly and/or sick individuals lying at home in line with external requests.
One of the most important tasks of the department is to carry out the nutrition treatments determined by the physician-dietician of the patients lying on the floors. By taking into account the nutritional habits of the patient by interviewing the patients or their relatives, all controls are carried out in the preparation of the menus to be included in the determined nutrition therapy until these menus reach the patients. When necessary, patients are trained about their nutrition at home during their stay in the hospital, and nutrition treatments are organized and followed.
In addition, in line with the requests from private institutions and organizations, nutrition and dietary consultancy and planning of institution-specific menus are also provided. Seminars, training, and nutrition consultancies are given outside the hospital, and studies are carried out to inform and raise awareness of the public on nutrition issues by taking part in the written and visual press.
