What Is General Surgery?
General Surgery is a surgical specialty that encompasses the evaluation and surgical treatment of many diseases requiring surgery. Surgical interventions are performed across a wide range of areas, including soft tissue tumors, esophagus, stomach, large intestine, anal region, liver and biliary tract, spleen, pancreas, endocrine glands (adrenal glands, thyroid), morbid obesity (severe obesity), breast, hernias, and all laparoscopic surgical applications.
